Las mujeres ya no lloran World Tour
Women don't cry anymore Tour kicked off on February 11 in Rio de Janeiro and Shakira plans to tour many cities around the world. The artist's set list includes songs that are part of her career, even the beginning, such as Dont Bother, from the album Oral Fixation vol. 2, which was released in 2005.

Shakira's Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is her first tour in 7 years, following the huge success of the El Dorado World Tour in 2018. On the Latin American leg, Shakira sold out 18 stadium shows in less than 2 hours, with over 950,000 tickets sold. The tour continues with the cancelled February 16 concert in Lima, Peru at the National Stadium, and will have additional stops in Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico.

Later this month, Shakira will return to her hometown of Barranquilla for the first time in 19 years with two shows at the Estadio Metropolitano on February 20-21. She also made history by becoming the first artist to perform seven consecutive concerts at Mexico City's GNP Seguros stadium.

This spring, Shakira will embark on the North American leg of her tour, which will begin May 13 in Charlotte, North Carolina, at Bank of America Stadium and then make stops in Montreal, Toronto, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and more before wrapping up Monday, June 30 in San Francisco, California, at Oracle Park.

Shakira: For you, I gave up everything I had and moved to a socialist country

During a concert in Sao Paulo, the artist surprised the audience by changing the lyrics to her song Dont Bother. In the original version, the lyrics were: "For you, I would give up everything I have and move to a communist country." In her live performance, Shakira sang: "For you, I gave up everything I had and moved to a socialist country." This subtle change has been the subject of many interpretations.

Now she has decided to change the lyrics and adapt them to the new times. With the new content, it is clear that she is referring to the Spanish state and her previous relationship with Gerard Piqué. Now she says that "for you, I left everything I had and moved to a socialist country."

The change in lyrics may also refer to the problems the singer had with the IRS and subsequent trial for tax fraud, another of the things that prompted her to move from Spain to the United States.

When Shakira arrived in Spain, Mariano Rajoy of the People's Party was in power, but it is clear that the Treasury's "intervention" like the one the singer suffered may be more related to social democratic policies than to the neoliberal system. Moreover, the legal procedure began in 2018, when Pedro Sánchez was already in Moncloa. As expected, the left did not like this remark.

The change in the song was seen not only as a new message for Piqué, but also as a possible reference to his legal troubles in Spain. The singer is facing a tax fraud trial at the Spanish Tax Agency, which may have influenced her decision to move to the United States.

Social media quickly reacted to this detail, sparking a wide debate about Shakira's true intentions with this change. While some see it as a reproach to her former partner, others believe that the criticism is aimed at the circumstances that forced her to leave Spain, as well as the singer's supposed sympathy for the United States.

"Because of you I moved to a socialist country." Shakira, love, Spain washed its face not because it is socialist, but because you are shameless. Spain is not an oligarchy like the US, where everything is forgiven to wealth. What a granite face this chick has.
